PRESS RELEASE. January 13, 2021 – T systems MMS, a subsidiary of the largest telecommunications provider in Europe, Deutsche Telekom, today announces a partnership with Flow blockchain developed by Dapper Labs, the company behind CryptoKitties and NBA top photo. The flagship of T-Systems on Flow is the operation of an execution node. Validation Capital was involved in this collaboration as a strategic advisor.

As part of the partnership, T-Systems MMS will run an execution node, resulting in a significant contribution to the processing power of the Flow blockchain. This is because Execution Nodes are responsible for both the processing of new blocks and the subsequent storage. These tasks are by far the most computationally intensive and as such can only be performed with a reliable and trusted infrastructure, which T-Systems offers.

Flow is a user-centric blockchain built for mainstream adoption, with the goal of bringing blockchain-enabled consumer applications to billions of people. Flow is the only layer one blockchain built by a team that both understands the importance of reducing complexity for ecosystem developers and has proven expertise in eliminating on-boarding friction for regular users. Trusted by leading companies such as Ubisoft and Warner Music Group, Flow will introduce blockchain technology to a global audience through partnerships with mainstream brands such as Dr. Seuss, the UFC, and the NBA.

The details of the partnership include:

  • T-Systems MMS will provide a reliable and secure infrastructure that Flow needs to scale and respond to all current and future needs of both Flow developers and users.
  • T-Systems MMS will manage one of the execution nodes of the Flow network, responsible for the execution and subsequent storage of newly created blocks, ensuring the continued operation of the decentralized network.

“At Dapper Labs, we believe that a seamless and efficient user experience is paramount to adoption. Our partnership with T-Systems is key to realizing our ambitions to reach a global, general audience, ”said Roham Gharegozlou, CEO at Dapper Labs.

“True digital ownership, direct fan engagement and rich ecosystem composability, which the Flow blockchain brings to the table, not only enables the creation of new business models, but also represents a fundamental shift in existing ones. Through our partnership with Flow, we expand our portfolio. of blockchain infrastructure and strike services. We are excited about the NFT space and will be committed to supporting the vision of public blockchains as a foundation for the open world and the numerous use cases on Flow, ”says Dr. Andreas Dittrich, Head of Blockchain Solutions Center at T-Systems Mms.

T-Systems’ foothold in Europe allows it to become a go-to service provider in the European market for blockchain-related implementations and pilot programs. With expertise in connectivity, digitization, cloud & IT infrastructure and digital security, the company positions itself as a disruptor in sectors that are still largely untouched by blockchain.
