For the first day of ours 21 days of data, we chose to start with one of the more popular data-centric applications out there: is an open-source mempool visualizer and blockchain explorer for Bitcoin. It provides real-time updates and live transaction tracking. It is unique in that it was developed to focus on the ephemeral data from the mempool, while most explorers turn up on-chain data.

Flip interviewed the project’s two lead administrators, Simon and Wiz, to dig a little deeper into what makes this one of the best data-centric apps in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
