English actress Maisie Williams, best known for her role as Arya Stark on the HBO series Game of Thrones, may be joining the Bitcoin bandwagon.

In a November 16 message on Twitter, the actress asked her 2.7 million followers if she were to “long on Bitcoin”. At the time of publication, the majority – 50.4% – advises investing in the crypto assets with 118,190 people responding. Williams has an estimated net worth of $ 6 million from her work in television and film.

The mention of Bitcoin by the well-known celebrity (BTC) made Crypto Twitter buzz as other figures quickly came up with their thoughts.

Peter McCormack, host of the What Bitcoin Did podcast, Williams suggested avoiding altcoins at all costs, citing “Bitcoin and nothing else” for the actress. However, crypto terms that intersected with Game of Thrones credentials were plentiful, such as Blockfolio told Williams, she should join the free people by going long on Bitcoin. Barry Silbert joined the party, suggesting the actress examines “the other” type of grays, a tribute to a disease in the series and the investment company’s crypto confidence.

Bitcoin adoption among major entertainment and finance figures has seen a major resurgence in 2020 as many look to inflation hedges and digital alternatives to cash. Day trader Dave Portnoy briefly joined the crypto community this year, later labeling Bitcoin as “one big Ponzi scheme.”

At the time of publication, BTC costs $ 16,770, a 5.7% increase over the past 24 hours.
